I have heard that Hibiscus do better at certain times of the year for transplanting. Can anyone confirm??

House plants usually don't know what time of year it is because you control their light and their temperature. So I think you will be ok transplanting any time.

I generally wait until spring for almost all my houseplants. There is far less daylight available to plants in winter. Some go almost dormant, almost all slow down.

Hibiscus will start losing their leaves and go into a dorment stage.
I re-pot mine in springtime and they do well.

As with all tropical plants, the hottest part of the summer is best.
