Maybe you should go out with him. Show your friends and everyone that you are a nonconformist and have enough self confidence and self-esteem that it doesn't matter who you go out with you're cool no matter what.
Or you could just kick the crap outta your friends.

Ignore it eventually they will have someone else to tease. Retaliation is pointless. People will realize that it isn't true. Also think of how bad the "really dorky" kid must feel knowing that these rumors upset you so much because he is "dorky". Just let it go and they will forget about it.

hey for all those dorky people out there he might be a nice guy so back off making fun of him. and secondly i doubt these friends you say are your friends becuz when i think friends i dont picture friends starting a rumor about u. so ditch these so called friends. plus why would u want to be rude about calling people names i bet your a sweetheart but hey this dorky kid probably will save your life when u need to go to the hospital he might be the one saving your life think about that

Well, first the obvious, friends don't make up lies about you. You should know if there is nothing to what they are saying it will blow over very quickly. Until it does though just remember those who are your true friends won't judge you and know the truth, and those who don't know you aren't going to care anyway. I'm a school teacher and I see everyday how students talk about each other, sometimes it feels like the end of the world, but believe me, tomorrow somebody will be talking about someone else. Remember not to hurt anyone's feelings, respect yourself and others and you'll feel good about yourself no matter what any idiot says about you.

Let them think what they want because they don't know anything. Be nice to that dorky kid, and tell him what they're up to and to not get any ideas. Find some new and nicer friends. Finally, find a real boyfriend so your "friends" can't say anything anymore. Also say to your friends " You'd be lucky if you even HAD a boyfriend with that kind of attitude. "

~~~First let me say any one who spreads rumors is not a friend. And you know what,,,how do you think the "dorky" kid feels,,,probably just as embarrassed as you feel. Kids will try to torment who ever they can just to get there kicks,,,,dont let them know it bothers you,,,infact laugh right at them and just say "what ever" and walk away,,,once they realise they cant get a rise out of you ,,,they will move on to the next so called "victim" of there choice,,,,,one saying my mom would always tell me when I was going threw school,,,,"Laugh and the world laughs with you,,cry and you cry alone",,,,,
So just blow it off, and dont let them know it bothers you,,,,,

there are few things have to be cleared out:
the first thing is, how cool you are has nothing to do with who you hang out with.
the second thing is, he's not a dork, he is a normal guy.
the third thing is, whoever made that rumor is jealous of your beauty and coolness. and he/she for sure is mean cos she think hanging with a dorky person would makes you less cool, which is wrong.
the froth thing is, always remember you are who you are, and no one nothing can change it.

ditch the friends and find some new ones. any one who would spread rumors about a friend is a pathetic loser. if you like the guy, date him, if not, don't. Its your life not your friends. You have to make your own choices.

I have the same problem going for me. Scratch that I had. Just do what I did if you want. Every time you catch them or they ask you cuss and flip them off. They will stop it after awhile. It was funny you should have seen their faces! PRICELESS! LOL! Sorry I'm on a sugar high.
