the babys dad is carlos, so we want the baby to have daddys first name.... i know it is super common

I am not too crazy about Carlos but Mateo is really nice.

Beautiful, as long as you don't live in Silicon Valley - San Carlos and San Mateo are two large population centers nearby, and the name would raise eyebrows, I think ;)

Try a unique name instead, because that name has been used so many times. Do you know how many Carlos' are out there?
