I work with children and this is what I see when they are being abused.First thing is they withdraw in themselfs and don't do what they usually do.Like go places with people or hang with their friends. Their school work fails. Then they start acting out.Doing things to get introuble.Plus they're mad alot and will say disrepectful things to u.You also might see them always being hurt. I wish u all the luck in finding out the truth.

This is really important and maybe you should speak with an adult you can trust. Some signs you can look for include a change in how he is dressing, especially if he starts wearing clothes that cover up more of his body (for example turtle necks, or he used to wear a lot of t-shirts and now he only wears long sleeves). Also, his hygiene habits may change. He may stop showering or start taking more than one a day. Acting out can be another sign. He may get violent and angry easily or want to be on his own all the time. Honestly, if you think that there is abuse going on you need to tell someone, your mom, another relative, someone else you trust.

You should look out for marks on his body, any changes in his mood or behaviour especially around the abuser. You should also tell him you know there's something wrong but anytime he wants to tell you, you will always be there to listen.

well I don't know your ages,,,,,and why would you ask this question,,,,does your father have a history for abuse? I was sexually, mentally and physically abused when I was younger,,,,If this is the case break the cycle,,,,,,Most men don't tell because of embarrassment.

changes in habits, attitudes, confidence are some. but some other things can cause these. if you don't feel you can talk to your brother how about an adult you feel you can trust, family, school, doctor. tell them your concerns , your suspicious. the thing is do something, now.

Go see an attorney or tell your mother. Is there anyone at your school you can ask?
