there are plenty of ways to induce but remember, when the baby is ready it's lungs will produce a chemical and release it into your system that will trigger your labor.
but "they" whomever they is say that walking and moving around will stimulate labor as well as having sex. good luck!

It's best for the baby if you let labor happen on it's own. I know how your feeling trust me. But inducing labor before your ready can make labor very hard. There are ways to induce yourself but I feel you should wait at least a couple more weeks. I had 2 of mine at almost 37 weeks and they both had bad issues with jaundice. But the 2 that were 39 and 40 wks had no issues. Hang on. It won't be much longer.

I was told to WALK, WALK, WALK. I got told that at 36 weeks and at 37 1/2 weeks I had a healthy baby girl. You will know when you are in labor because the pain is like no other. The pains are a sharp piercing pain. I say get off them feet and take walks and if it is cold like it is where I am then walk around the house and stay busy. It worked for me Good Luck and Congratulations!

The magic number in a healthy pregnancy is 37 weeks (hasn't your Dr. discussed this with you?) You're baby's lungs are still developing.

Inducing labor yourself is dangerous and not as possible as you might think. Wait a week and have sex, that is the Best thing to get labor started.

labor pain is different than the end of pregnancy pain. You will not mis-understand when you are in labor.

You'll know sweetheart! I was 41 weeks before I went and trust me when I say I wanted her to come out BAD i meant BAD! It was awful...I was getting fatter, she was growing bigger and hurting me and uhhhgg ya know that they are fully developed but they just want to stay in!!! I was the same way and what worked for me was to run up and down the steps....I would wait if i was you though until you are 40 weeks! I know it is hard but it is probably the safest and they say that your baby will come when he/she is ready. It can be tough to wait so enjoy the time that you have right now by last minute cleaning and making sure you have everything in the nursery!! Just hope that your baby comes out by 40 weeks and not 42!! I am sure you will be okay and the little angel will appear before you know it! So yeah stairs are good or try taking a very very hot bath!!! Good luck, she/he will bring you alot of joy!

well really the baby's isn't considered full term until 37 weeks... but all you can do is wait... i'm in the same situation only i'm 38 weeks... and been in pain and having braxton hicks for about 4 weeks... i've tried a bunch of different things but nothing has worked for me... try walking around even if it's just a little at a time... i guess try to spend this time to prepare more for your new baby... get the house clean and organized... i've been told that getting down and doing a lot cleaning can help bring on labor... i think i'm going to go try that now! but good luck sweetie... and try not to let it drive you too crazy!!

Point one million: Every get together has to uncover volunteers to face as applicants. Not ample volunteers - now not ample applicants. Point two: Standing in a hopeless ward, even though fascinating for all of the country wide events, isn't continually functional, and, of path, charges cash. Standing way placing up a deposit, and publishing election fabric. Point three: In 2007 I do not believe any get together is fielding applicants in additional than 60% of all of the council seats up for election. There is a ward close me that's certainly solidly Tory. A few years in the past the Tories could not uncover a candidate. Nor would some other get together besides Labour. So he received the seat through default. The man used to be a conventional ancient staunch socialist and it used to be relatively ironic that he spend four years representing a top Tory rural ward. The Tories made definite they post a candidate four years later. P.S. If you are going to cite Shakespeare you will have to no less than recognize it. "Wherefore" honestly way "why are you", now not "in which are you". Juliet used to be asking why Romeo needed to be from a loved ones with whom hers had a feud.

wait until you go in to labor on your own I know how bad you feel I was 38 weeks and I told them to induce me now. You will know when you are in labor when your water breaks and when you are bent over in really really bad pain. Good Luck and CONGRATS

The longer you keep that baby in, the healthier it will be. Just ask the folks at the March of Dimes.

My wife will tell you that you just have to suffer it, but believe me when I tell you that it will be worth it.

You will KNOW when you are having contractions. Labor is the pushing part and the nurses and doctors will tell you when to do that.

Oh, you poor honey! Try to relax!!

First of all, you've made it this far, you can make it for another few weeks.

Secondly, it's not like you'll get MORE rest once the baby comes. You'll be even more exhausted afterward, because any opportunity you might have had for sleep will be interrupted!
