OMG. This is hilarious. I am doing Annabel Lee in my Literature class right now! Okay so, it is about Edgar Allen Poe and his love for his 13-year old cousin who he married. She died an early death of Tuberculosis, and in the poem, Poe says that the angels were jealous of his loving relationship with Annabel Lee ( in real life, her name was Virginia) and so they were the ones who envied Annabel Lee's love with Edgar Allen Poe, so they took her from him. Poe died two years after Annabel Lee died.

Anabel Lee is a poem that reflects Poe's wistful love for Virginia, his wife, who was once his cousin and who faced a prematures death at the age of 26. Its a poem of sheer lamentation for the tragic consequence of Anabel that brings the endless mourning for the poet. he terms his relationship with Anabel Lee as "a love that is more than a love" implies poe's poetic imagination and true romantic feelings.
