Okay, so I have looked on probably 5 sites, all giving me different information on tank sizes needed for the fish. I am looking for a simple answer, I know everything else about them, from my local pet store, not looking for any answers irrelevant to the question, like are you sure your able to take care? etc, just need to know what a minimum tank size is..
Extra info:
Getting a new tank this weekend, have the money but not enough space or money for a huge one.

Thanks.

I've had a few of them (they are so cool lookin aren't they?!) and a few times with each, I had thought he had died, and found out when I cleaned the tank, he was UNDER the bottom filter! You have to be careful what kind of filter you use, what kind of rock, and what else you have in the tank with it. I'm not sure how many you can have at a time, or how big the tank should be, but I'd assume it's the same with those as with any other fish - they tend to get big enough for the tank, no more than that. I know a 10 gallon would be just fine. I don't see why a 5 gallon wouldn't work too. But, if you're lookin for a community tank, I'd definately go for a 10 gallon. They are perfect in (almost) every way, for almost any fish.

Good luck!!!

Depends how many Kuhliis you have. And what kind of tank mates. If it just 3 or 4 loaches, you would be fine in a 10g (you should have at least two, they like the company of their own kind). If there are other tank mates, take that into consideration. Look at a 20g high. Assuming you don't have more than 15 fish that aren't larger/longer than a lighter.

Kuhlii loaches need a 20 gallon tank for a group. They can be kept in 15 gallon tanks, but I assume that's for only 1, and they must be kept in groups of at least 3. I have 3 and they are brill extremely skittish. There habit of attempting to find "safe hiding places" usually won't end well so they are not suitable for some aquariums. I know it's a pain on the butt to keep sand in an aquarium, but they have sensitive skin and barbels. Kuhlii loaches are very fun to keep, I always find their fishy antics interesting. When startled the sometimes race around the aquarium like hyper danios. Sometimes they just do it because they want to. Anyways, there adorable!! You need to keep them in groups so they can hide, sleep, and play together. They are very social fish.

Coolie Loaches grow to be 4&1/4 inches long. I've seen them quite happy in a 10 gallon tank. It was a pair with 5 Neon Tetras.

eh, just save your money till you get a big tank... the bigger, the better and it'll save you headaches...

kuhli max size is 4 inches... and you should get 4 of them.. they like to hang out with each other... so a 20 - 30 gallon tank would be cool.
