She has been after me for a while to get her own pair of high heels for going out. How high a heel should I let her buy?

I would say maybe a 2-2 1/2 in heal.Payless seems to have great heeled shoes.I have a funny walk and am hard on heeled shoes, but the heels i have bought at payless see to have a better base at the actual heel part of the shoe giving more support. And if she does start wearing heels and dosn't like them or has a hard time with them there are always the kitten heeled shoes that are VERY cute as well!Tell her happy birthday from JILL PICKLE!

I don't think that she should be able to pick out what she wants to wear, even though I'm 15 I think that unless your an adult and out of the house your parent should have a say in what you wear, I kno my mom does. How high does she want to wear them? I am 15 and I rarely wear heals, but I do have friends that wear HIGH heals, so i kno where she would be coming from when she says she wants to where them... maybe 1-2 inches for starters and then if you think that she looks ok then maybe a little higher... but I think that you should go w/ her shopping for them that way you can approve on how they look on her... b/c all-though two shoes may be the same height, some can look "more hoish"...

I'm not sure what heel height has to do with age but I suppose if you don't want her tripping over or looking too promiscuous around 2 to 3 inches should be ok.

I would say no higher than 3 inches for her age. She doesn't want to look overdone or like a stripper, especially at her age (though I'll admit I love stilettos...I'm also not 15).

Also, instead of a spike heel, try a chunk heel or wedge...it might be easier if she isn't used to heels

Heels over 3 inches are called "FM" shoes by men....the "M" stands for "Me!"...... and you can guess what the F stands for.

Be a good parent and make the unpopular decision to actually moniter and limit what she wears. It shocks me to see what people let their teenage daughters wear these days.

Let her get whatever size heel she wants, as long as she can walk well in them. Make her walk up and down the isle a few times. Make sure she is walking at a normal pace. If she turns her ankle at all, make her get lower heels.

I don't see why all the fuss over the silly little things. Worry about skirt length not shoes. Let her pick whatever size heels she likes.

I'm 14, and I think whatever height she can walk in is just fine. It doesn't really matter, it just depends on the outfit and accessories. If she's 15, she should be able to decide what shoes she wears.
