They will only pick at the new babies and it will not be for long. They only pick at them when they are first born because of the birthing smell. But after a little bit they will act as if they are just part of the family. Another thing is the birthing tanks are a waste of time. I had one and it was more trouble than what it is worth. They want you to put the babies in it and what are you to do when more babies are born, the ones that are already in there will just pick at the new ones that you will be putting in. And if you take out the ones that are in there so you can put the new babies in, then the bigger guppies are going to pick at them when you get them out. To make things easy on you. Here is what I do with my guppies. I have about 75 guppies and they are in a 55 gallon tank. Just make sure you have places for the babies to hide, like a lot of trees, fake or real, and your babies will be fine. Good Luck!!!!!

till you have a multitude of tank area or a industry for the fry the acceptable concern to do is merely bypass away them in the tank. I on no account do away with fry and that i'm continuously having to furnish guppies away to maintain the inhabitants under administration. in case you have flowers and rocks the fry cover and after slightly the adults do not even worry with them anymore. **

Possible, but not always likely. Just make sure the guppies are fed well enough without over feeding (what they would eat in five minutes, two or three times a day).

Yes. Try getting a breeders net - they're fairly cheep at the pet store...and walmart might even carry them. Or, you could try putting them in a dfferent container, like a big bowl...or a pitcher or vase you're not using, if it's large enough.

they could start nibbling at them, so if you could get a net breeder and stick the new ones in there.
