How can I get my health Ins. to cover the lap-band surgery, that they say isnt covered on my plan?

Others who have my plan, have told me that they're surgery was covered,but when I call them, they tell me NO and the surgeons office won't schedule you until U have coverage or oddles of $$. I have Florida BC/BS PPO.

Ask the people who were covered who their surgeon was and see him. He obviously knows what to say...maybe they had more life threatening issues than you. I am frankly stunned that anyone was covered. Age is also a factor...the doctor's office has more control over this thatn you...talk to them.
