A 404 error indicates that the page you are trying to access can't be found. There are many reasons why this can be, for example:
1- Have you mistyped the URL?
2- The page you are trying to access doesn't exist anymore
3- Is your internet connection working?
If I was you I would make sure your internet connection is working and then review that the URL spelling is correct
hope this helps

If it's your usual home page that won't load, try typing in another page address.
e.g. if you use http://www.yahoo.com and it's not loading try (for instance) http://www.msn.com
Usually a 404 is either a permanent thing on a given web page/site or it can just be a temporary thing.
Hope this helps.
