You probably have a axle seal or wheel cylinder leaking. It will get on the shoes and cause them to grab or lock up.

Your best bet, would be to remove the rear wheels, and drums. That way you can visually check the shoes. They will probably have some kind of contamination on them, like brake fluid, from a leaking wheel cylinder, or even a rear axle seal leaking rear axle gear oil on them. While they are apart, look at the pads closely, to see if they have cracks, or discolored spots on them, which is caused by heat.( maybe parking brake left on at one time or another). In a nutshell, the best way is to look at them, and check for any of those problems. Then if you are not sure, post what you find, maybe somebody can help you out. Good Luck

You might have alot of different problems. Depends on the year, Weight will only make you have to break harder. unhooking ANYTHING that is contoled by the computer is not a good idea. Causes more problems as the computer tries to adjust, Check to see if caliper or slave cylinder is hanging up.
