1. Jack the left front high enough so the tire isn't touching the ground (droops). Removing the tire is a bonus, but not necessary.
2. Use a 5/8" plug socket, six inch extension, and ratchet through the wheel well. Cuss profusely.
3. Presto, the plug is out, ready for a new one.
Helpful tip. The steering shaft is always in the way. Depending on the condition of the left side motor mount, you may need to go above or below it. Have fun.

yes remove the front drivers side tire and go throuhg the wheel well. Still not an easy task but about the only way you can get to it.

First, you'll need to identify which one is #3.
From there, use a spark plug wrench...This looks like a great big socket, and connects to a standard socket wrench. Then just unscrew.
Putting it back in is the same, but in reverse.
