I'm in two dance classes (ballet and pre-pionte). I can only afford to be in one recital. I love both equally and can't decide what recital to be in...Please help me! Thanks!

I think Ballet. You’re going to have more experience with it then point (since you are in pre-point)so you will be more comfortable. It is difficult to go in front of an audience when you are not feeling as confident as possible.

Personally I hate point. It is very unnatural for your body and it can cause major damage to your feet. I know point is very exhilarating but you should consider the long term effects.

Even without that consideration (I don’t expect that you will up and quit point) I still think that you should go with ballet this time until you are more familiar with point. Build your confidence up for next year. Good luck.

Choose your dance recital carefully. Weigh out the pro's and cons of each on a sheet of paper. Then decide.
