The same thing happened to me. For me, it was because I was starting to get big, and my blood pressure was low because the volume hadn't caught up with my growth. It could also be low blood sugar, but since sitting down helped you, it sounds like low blood pressure. If it was low blood sugar, nothing but food would have helped you. Standing in one spot brings it on, or being on your feet for long periods of time. Once it starts, you need to sit down, lowering your head to your knees. If it keeps happening, you might want to try compression hose.
Report it to your Dr. on your next visit, unless you actually DO pass out, then you should call him/her that day.

I got that ALL the time when I was in my second trimester to early third trimester. I had to quit working because of it (my job was a standing job - I stood behind a desk for 8 hours at a time - they wouldn't let me sit on a chair either because it would "look bad").
It was not low blood sugar... and I know this because it happened once while I was at my OB getting my blood pressure taken. I literally saw my blood pressure drop on the thingy down to 78/44. And my blood sugar was fine because I was getting my glucose sugar test done that day and my results were completely normal.
There's nothing really I could do to get it to stop, other than sitting down. It helps to drink something EXTREMELY cold too (that helps with the hotness feeling). Sometimes I would be sitting on the floor in the middle of a store for 10 minutes at a time. It sucks - but it passed when I got around 34 weeks.

I know exactly what you are going through, I am 6 months pregnant and I am going through it. It probably was your blood sugar, or you just over did it. Still you need to tell your doctor about it, just to be on the safe side. I eat a lot of small meals a day and drink a lot of water and that seemed to help me out a little, but it still happens. All I can say is try and relax when it happens, sit down if possible and just close your eyes and breath. I know it feels terrible, but my doctor said it was normal.

I would get this when walking too much and brought it up with my doctor. She told me that I was hypoglycemic (low blood sugar). If this happens when you hvae just eaten, then I wouldn't think it is your sugar; however, if it has been a few hours, you may want to carry more snacks with you and see if that helps.
It could also be that your blood pressure has dropped too quickly for your body to handle and to equalize everything you need to move slower - don't stand up straight from laying down, etc.
Definitely bring it up with your doctor at your next appointment though. Only (s)he can tell you what is going on.

I have to agree with the previous answerer that said your blood sugar was low. Be sure to eat small nutritious snacks between meals...and call your doc and let him know what's going on. Just in case it could possibly be something else. However, I have severe bouts of hypoglycemia when not pregnant and the symptoms you described are exactly like the ones I experience. Your metabolism has increased and you need extra calories to help you and the baby...be sure and eat those healthy snacks.

I've had that happen a LOT. I usually end up passing out though. When it happens to me it is usually because I'm around to many people... or around blood. However, if I eat something it instantly goes away.
The doctor told me it was from low blood sugar.

The same thing used to happen to me during my first pregnancy. I just sat it out. I never thought of my blood sugar being low. I would mention it to your doctor just to be safe.

More than likely your blood sugar dropped. Pregnant women are at risk of developing gestational diabetes, so mention this to your doctor. It can be harmful to your baby if you don't regulate your blood sugar. Best of luck!

Could be a lot of things. If you had been really active then it could be high blood pressure or just your body's way of telling you you're overdoing it.I recomend you call your Dr Asap so they can let you know if anything could be wrong.
