I don't understand this. Every coach wants to be a head coach one day and the boss shouldn't stand in his way. I am a Pats fan and Eric did a good job when he was with them.

I'm glad the fans were generous and gave Eric a good welcome

Belicheck is so po'd @ Mangini because Belicheck is like the old guy who lived behind the alley and across your best friends and anytime you crossed his yard to get to your friends he'd yell at you and chase you with his cane. Plus he's a no class cut hoodie wearing coach whose Coordinators do all the work for him.

The act looked very tasteless (handshake). I think it was a combination of things such as: losing at home to a divisional rival, losing back to back games for the first time since 2002. I also read somewhere it had something to do with Mangini recruiting Pats to come over to the Jets when he left.

Great question!! Can you say sore loser? Even Mike Ditka on NFL Primetime said "Seeing one of your assitant coaches going on to be coming a succesful head coach, should be very exciting for you." I thought Belichick's reaction was classless and cowerdly. Perhaps is anger got the better of him on the field, but I live in New England and have yet to see an apology.

Dude, i was JUST having this conversation with someone about this.
Shouldnt Belichick be PROUD of him, as a mentor, that his student is successful? Why is he such a diiick about this? When did Belichick become a cold priick?

I hope Mangenius gets coach of the year.
