I have an Epson that will eventually suffer the same problem. It is the pad that holds the ink from doing a cleaning cycle. The vendor made an arbitrary rule that says after if is full buy a new printer.

Here is a link to a site that tells how to fix it and reset the printer instead of throwing it away http://www.polyphoto.com/tutorials/PrintHeadCleaning/CanonCleaningAndReset.html

i'm assuming Canon use an identical kit to Epson! The waste absorbers are a sequence of massive absorbent pads that line the backside of your printer, they have a sensor resting on solid which detects at a similar time as they are saturated. to regulate them you will could desire to dismantle the printer eliminating the chassis thoroughly from the case. you will then desire the two new pads (pronounced) or you may desire to squeeze and rinse out the previous ones (very, very VERY messy), that they had shrink/ loose shape as quickly as you dry them out, and that they carry about an techniques-blowing volume of ink. I even have tried this as with out delay as yet do no longer comprehend if rinsing the pads labored as I broke the printer putting it decrease back on a similar time. this is no longer a activity to deal with till you're useful taking your printer aside. in case you may desire to place it top right into a shop/ carrier centre to have the activity executed it may fee extra effectual than a sparkling printer
