There's no single asset or corporate entity that would fetch a trillion yet. You have to look at some kind of aggregation of assets, such as large amounts of land owned by the federal government, or a substantial portion of all the US treasury bonds available, or a big trillion-dollar pile of gold. But look first to publicly traded companies, just a matter of time before one is worth a trillion dollars in total stock value.

Exxon Mobil Corp market price almost 1/2 trillion
Microsoft market price about 1/3 trillion
There may be a more valuable companies but these are the ones I found.

easily, an asteroid. fly out to space, grab a nice size asteroid, say 10 miles long. bring it to ewarth orbit and start tearing it apart to get at its iron-nickel rich center, a mountain of iron and other metals would sure be worth ALOT, but then this answer doesnt apply as the objest isnt "on this world"
