well i have six brothers andfour sisters, but my brother was married to an only child and yes she was spoiled and expected every thing to be her way. the marriage didnt last. i am married to the youngest of five boys and he is also spoiled but i dont always give him his way he had to learn to grow up after we were married and had a family. so it can go either way.

Relationship with anyone is difficult. But to answer your question having a relationship with an only son or daughter is very hard. They are spoiled and like to be the center of attention all the time. They don't like to share things like clothes, food etc. Well my dad is an only child and he is always weird. His mom pampered him a lot. I am the youngest in my family and my parents spoiled me a little bit. My fiance is the oldest in his family and I have a great relationship with him. He spoils me too!lol!

I am married to the only son/ My mother in law at times can be a little overbearing but I always let her know who is first in his life now. Sometimes she can be irritating but it isn't to bad. However I use to date this guy who was the only child and it was horrible. He was raised by his mother, grandmother and aunt and they thought that the sun rises and set on his a**. I also watch my best friend whose son is a only child but she allows him to do his own thing and doesn't intervene unless it is absolutely necessary. So each situation is different. I personally am the oldest of my mother's children and the only child that my father has and I was a bit spoiled but I have outgrown it for the most part. I am also the oldest grandchild on my father's side and the first female child on my stepfather's side so everyone catered to me. As a side note my mom is the youngest girl so we were both spoiled by my uncles

The good part is that you have no competition or conflict coming from his siblings. If their parents are old they are the only child to take care of them and that includes you.
