They are playing the blame game and avoiding the real issues that Americans voted for last week.

It all has to do with lobbying and him seeing that money got to his brother's company. Honestly, there are so many problems with lobbying in Washington that for either side to call each other on it is ludicrous. You could fling cowpies side to side in Congress and whether they landed on a Republican or a Democrat you'd find a lobbying issue. I've been watching MSNBC too, it's the only place I can get both biases for comparison on world news. They were talking about it on Hardball last night and the upshot is that Murtha is a firebrand who doesn't give a damn if Bush likes his stand on the war or not. He's got valuable experience with war games and knows this war is a mess comparable to Vietnam. I hope he does become majority leader, we need someone who isn't afraid of the right and says it like it is no matter who doesn't like it.

"In the first incident, his right cheek was lacerated, and in the second, he was lacerated above his left eye. Neither injury required evacuation," -2

Murtha as describing two different injuries. -1
"I was wounded in the arm with shrapnel from a bullet that hit the motor mount of a helicopter. In the other, my knee was banged up and my arm was banged up when a helicopter was shot down from a very few feet,"
-Murtha
"..(letter)sent by Murtha to his wife..."
"struck in the ankle" by a "shot that ricocheted off the helicopter."

"He campaigned as a war hero and I've never seen any documentation that he earned any of these honors," -Harry Fox

It's not the right, it's the other Dem who wants to be leader.

The right has no say who the majority leader is.

Not supporting the military and advocating that we bail out of Iraq (which the world and our enemies would views as cowardly).
