I am afraid you will have to go to a site where you have to pay for a task like this. I believe if you type in his name in Google or similar search engine you will find many companies listed who want your business as they will be advertising as soon as they catch wind of your search. So good luck.

- indian as in... Native American? or native of India ?? which country are you talking about? Canada or the USA?
- if he's Native American (in the USA) you can try checking with the Bureau of Indian Affairs (USA), there should be head offices in major cities throughout the USA, if he's Native American check the following website to contact an official from that department to help you out:

- if he's Native in Canada, then check with the Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC), check the following website for contact info with an official from that department to help you out:

I have had some luck tracking a relative, if you know the tribe locate the tribal council he or she may be listed on the rolls you may get some info. they don't want to yell you much I found the info. I needed. Good luck
