Also, sharks have exceptional senses and are not too dumb either. There is some speculation that sharks are as smart as dogs. As predators, they need a bit of thinking skills. A dumb predator will starve.

I guess we need to see an example of fooling a shark to understand what you are asking. Do you mean fooling as in getting a shark to take bait and get caught by a fisherman? If that is the case, people get caught all the time taking bait. Nigerian bank scam is a good example of that, so you could ask why is it easy to fool a person.

Sharks have existed for 400 million yrs or so. You can`t a fool Shark, its sensory capacity is greater than mans IE Olfactory scene, blood is smelled a mile away.

They have sensors only in their skin which sense motion around them and have a keen sense of smell. So dont leak any blood and stand still that great white will surely give you a miss
