now plug it into the other equation, solve for x, and then plug that into the original equation and solve for y.
if your doing system of equations. if your not, i have no idea what your talking about.

the difficulty is in slope-intercept form, it extremely is y = mx + b. m is the slope and b is the y - intercept. start up off via plotting your y - intercept (the factor the place the line meets the y - axis ) b is - 3 for the 1st one. So plot a factor on (0, -3). The slope if a million/2. Slope is merely upward thrust over run. So flow up one (upward thrust) and flow over to the ultimate suited 2 (run). Plot a factor there. From there proceed going up one and over 2. once you run out of area be confident to flow decrease back and do the left facet of the graph. flow decrease back on your y - intercept, then flow LEFT 2, down a million. save doing it till you run out of area. For the 2d, the equation is merely y = mx. there is not any b, so it is 0. Plot a factor at (0,0) then. Then plot the slope factors. Up 5, over 3. Do it any incorrect way besides. The third situation is merely y = b, they only provide you the y - intercept. So flow forward and plot (0, -4). by way of fact there is not any slope, there is not any upward thrust or run. So it is in elementary terms a right now horizontal line by -4 on the y-axis. wish that helped!

Yeahh you aren't really saying what you're trying to do. Yes, it would make a straight line if you graphed it. -3 is the y intercept (point on the y intercept) and it has a positive slope of 1/2 (up one, over two).

If you are graphing it, go down negative 3 on the y axis (just go down three points from zero), then go up one point on the Y axis and to the right 2 points on the x axis.

you're supposed to plot it aren't you????? lol thatz where you should have been lsitenting in maths class.

Y=mx+c is the linear equation.

IN this case, m would be 1/2, and C would be -3

C = the y-intercept.
m = the gradient.

To get the x-intercept, put in y=0.
That gives you:
0=1/2x-3
3=1/2x
6=x
So when y=0, x=6

lol my gosh, start listening in class, please
