I've had this problem as a teenager. It's SO WEIRD. My period would come say on the first, then 30th, and then 15 days later and then 30 days later, and then 15 days later.

At early 20s, my period was normal, month by month.

Now at 24, the problem CAME BACK! I don't know what is causing it. Usually the 15 days period bleeds much less than the 30 days, but for just as long (4-6 days at a time).

I know if I go to the doctor, they will just give me birth control pills... which is the last thing I want (it makes me kinda sick). Does anyone else have this problem and if you can tell me how you seek treatment, that'd be wonderful. You think it might be stress related?

A good doctor will do tests to see WHY you're body is behaving this way. It could be your hormones, stress, or another medical issue effecting your cycles. See a doctor, but make sure to impress upon them from the beginning that you don't want pills as a quick fix, you want to know why it's happening at all.

It very well can be stress related...or diet related. If you are under any amount of stress it does things to your body. Or if you are on a new diet of some sort. All of these things play a role into what your body does. The only thing you need to worry about is if you are having extremely painful periods. Birth control pills will cause a more evenness about everything but if they make you sick don't take them.
