It sounds like you're somewhere in between a Democrat/Green/Libertarian/or "Independence Party" (i.e. Ross Perot's old party).
Dem: Yes -- social justice env. death penalty, free exercise of religion No -- lower taxes, bloated government.
Green -- Environment, Social justice, No -- Government, taxes.
Libertarian -- yes -- "live off the grid." No -- social justice, no death penalty.
(P.S. all the libertarians love to say "you're a libertarian," and people love to claim it. The problem is that "true" libertarians get very close to anarchy. Do you want the government to ensure quality education and health care for Americans? Do you want businesses regulated responsibly so that they do not destroy the environment or rip off consumers? Do you want to ensure that quality jobs stay in America? Do you think social security, food stamps, unemployment insurance, and the minimum wage are good ideas? Then you're not really a libertarian. We all like to have the government "leave us alone," the problem is exactly where do we want to leave us alone.)

You seem like a moderate republican, as democrats believe in large government, and high taxes. Please don't think that republicans are not for the environment. A lot are, but not overblown about it. Alaska for instance, putting an oil line is not going to hurt the Caraboo. It is wide open country, and the oil is needed for American livlihood. If you want government out of every little thing, you are more republican. Democrats dig into the personal lives of poorer people, meaning those on assistance, wanting to know who lives with you, your rent, if you have a chance to have anymore, or any children, WAY personal issues like that. When I was on assistance, it was a nightmare. However, you can also choose to be an Independant since your views are between the 2 major political parties. Hope I helped ya!

You don't have to belong to any Party...just vote for Candidates as individuals.
Which ever Candidate believes in what you believe in...that is the Candidate you should vote for, no matter what Party they represent.
That's the problem in this Country...too many people vote strictly on Party lines and don't listen to the Two sides. If more people did, we might end up with a Government that is actually for all the people and not just a select few.
Republicans were just voted out of Majority for those reasons and if The Democrats do the same thing, they will meet the same fate in 2008.

This is a broad generalization, but that's also basically what you asked for- Typically your fiscal views seem Republican, or conservative. Your social views seem a bit liberal, or like those of Democrats. This seems to make you, generally, most like a Libertarian.
You may find that you have more of a voice if you join one of the two parties, but of course if all libertarians also did that, we would be missing the point of having a Libertarian party. We could start a long debate of the merits and problems of the two party system right here, but that doesn't seem like a good idea!
For the record, I'm a registered Republican, but moderate, and I don't agree with the religious right- I believe they're hypocrites.

You sound like a conservative on the fence. Conservatives are also for protecting the environment and for social justice. Liberals just make it sound like we don’t. The best thing to do is find out about what conservatism really is. Unfortunately you won’t find it on your TV. That’s the home of Liberals, as is movies and music and news papers. Radio is your best bet for true conservative philosophy. Below are some sites that will help you make your choice.

You are a Classic Libertarian.
LIBERTARIANS support maximum liberty in both personal and economic matters. They advocate a much smaller government; one that is limited to protecting individuals from coercion and violence.
Libertarians tend to embrace individual responsibility, oppose
government bureaucracy and taxes, promote private charity, tolerate diverse lifestyles, support the free market, and defend civil liberties.

I would say never mold your self into one "PARTY" or another. keep your views and agendas and find the people who agree with a majority of your ideas. You have to do work this way. Its hard for a lot of people to do this so they just expect to fit in with a D or R so they vote "along party lines" This just doesnt work.

You sound like a liberterian because you want smaller government. However, it will help what your views are about abortion, gay marriage, and stem cell research. You could go to Yahoo! and type in the search engine "political quizzes" and that will help you find your party.

I think you have very sensible views. You are most certainly an independent, but, from your description, you are a little more toward the democrat side than Republican.

I think that you may be a moderate Republican, then again in another light you could be a moderate Democrat. If I were you, I'd label yourself as an Independent, and see which candidate you like better per election. that is what my dad does.
