Oral reporting is the earliest method of telling someone about something. Basically you talk about the book - you do a book report by telling it. (It might be a good idea to write down the main points of what you want to say.) Tell about the author of the book, the plot (a brief summary), the main and secondary characters, the importance of the book, and your own conclusions about the book and your reading experience. I don't know how long your oral report must be, but think about that and make sure you have prepared enough to say for that amount of time. If you are not nervous, then all you have to worry about is putting together what would be a good book report if it was written and then making adjustments to make it an interesting presentation for the people listening.
Start with an introduction that grabs the audience's attention. That is key. It will get them interested. Continue with the usual sections included in any book report. Apply the elements of a written book report to your oral report.
Here are a few sites that should help you. Best of luck.

Oral book reports are actually very simple when you know what to do. the very least you need to add are the important characters, plot, and important things that go on in the book. You could say things like, "The main character, Jane, is 16 years old and throughout the book finds her way through a dark forest..." or something like that. it's more or less a speach on a book! If you know how to plan out a speach, an oral report will be easy for you! Good Luck!!

Your teacher would probably be more than happy to help you or give you some guidelines for your report. You probably just have to ask, she/he may not know that some people are unaware of how to structure it.
But basically, the ones I've done- you give a report on the book. You say what you would write. So mention the author, talk about the plot, why you liked it/chose it, etc.
Hope I helped and good luck!

i've got thought approximately this in the previous. i like my daughter plenty and that i wanted to be a mommy my total existence. i understand for specific i would not have an abortion, nor might I hate the toddler. i think of i might save it, yet adoption could be an selection. I asked my husband as quickly as after a similar episode on regulation & Order, and he wasn't specific how nicely he'd do raising the baby of my rapist. So we'd actually could have some extreme discussions if that ever handed off (God forbid). Regardless if we saved the toddler or gave it up for adoption, it isn't the toddler's fault, and it particularly is 0.5 me! i might locate it irresistible.

well id opt for the basic strategy: start by introducing the title and author, then give a brief paragraph on trhe author, then a brief summary of the book, followed by an in-depth analysis including themes, symbolism, imagery, metaphors etc. end with a brief personal opinion and a conclusion. if you want to get fancy and this is the type of class you could get away with it, go with something a bit more creative. for example do the oral as if you are the main character talking about his/her experience, or add multimedia such as video clips, slides or images.
Hope thsi helps!

Write a summary on the book (no not the one on the back of the book) in your own words. Then practice reading the summary that you wrote and memorizing your summary as many times as possible until you have fully memorized it. For some info on the Holocaust, go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holocaust.

Write a report and read it out. And you may have to answer questions.
