Usually it would affect you in this way if you had a natural disposition toward such things in the first place.
You should perhaps stop smoking and seek some medical assistance.

My mom has smoked for 35 years, and she is a paranoid schitzophrenic now.. I also smoked, but after I had my daughter, I started having the paranoia when I would be high... I quit because I don't want to ever take any chances on becoming like my mother.. I am so much more alert now that I have a clean system.. Just to clarify, I don't think weed is all together bad, I just think it has very bad effects for a few unlucky people.. I do miss it too, but I know I am better off with a fresh mind versus a cloudy mind..

THC is technically a hallucinagen. Usually, one does not hallucinate when smoking weed, but it has been know to happen. Just as some people react differently to prescription medications, others may experience THC in a different way than others. Though experts say that in high enough doses, you will hallucinate.
As for the paranoia, some expert breeders say that only certain types of marijuana cause paranoia, whilst others do not. Quality could also be an issue. Other times, again, it may just be the individual. In other words, you make yourself paranoid. I often wonder how many users in Amsterdam experience paranoia as opposed to Americans.....since it's legal there and illegal here, that could be a psycological cause as well.

After smoking grass for 40 years, i quit out of boredom. I discovered I had been in hiding long enough. also discovered that paranoia was related to getting stoned at the wrong times; i.e. work hours, driving, interacting with straight people, When i was totally free from interaction with obligations, getting high was fun, just didn't lead to any sense of accomplishment. Grass is the least damaging drug that is listed as illegal. Too bad there's nothing good to gain like the experience of seeing a sunrise over the ocean

sometimes when you smoke you get paranoid, some people have it worse than others. you could have smoked something laced too. but i had a friend who quit smoking cuz she couldn't handle how it was making her feel anymore, like she thought everything was dirty and rotting, so it could just be how it effects you, it could be a lot of things, but i know paranoia is a natural thing from smoking pot

I don't know, but it happened to my friend. We blazed a lot, then he started to get anxiety. He still smokes, just not as much.

Probably had Jimson Weed mixed in with the regular stuff. Jimson Weed is better known as 'loco' weed.
