This is not a joke. Nick Pope, former MoD chief warns that Britain could be attacked by extraterrestrials at any time and complains that the projects he once ran are now "virtually closed" down, leaving the country "wide open" to aliens.

Mr Pope decided to speak out about his worries after resigning from his post at the Directorate of Defence Security at the MoD this week. "The consequences of getting this one wrong could be huge. If you believe these things are extra terrestrial craft then you cannot rule out that what is happening is some kind of covert reconnaissance."

These are the same guys that tell us that our neighbors are terrorists. That there are terrorists around every corner. Does this hurt their credibility, or will you just brush off that the equivalent of Rumsfeld in Britain says aliens will attack us if we dont submit to government protection? Just a thought....

OK. Thanks for the warning. I'm pretty sure I don't expect the government to protect me against this threat.

these people have a grand responsibility to think of the worse case scenario and take preventative measures to protect us . although rumsfeld speaking of terrorist is a fact compared to aliens a theory , their job is simular . this is much better than waiting for a ton of people to die to take action rather than the democrats idea of the odds are low so lets not worry about it . let them do their job and stop whining

Well illegal aliens are already attacking us. So, who knows. Pretty presumptuous to assume we are the only ones in all the universes.
