My garage door opens and close with a strong pressure like it drops hard when it reaches the floor.?

I am wondering if there is an adjustment that I can do by myself to reduce the pressure do that it will open and close slowly.

I already tried to tighten and loosen the spring but it did not worked.

Yes there is an adjustment. Do you have the owner's manual?
If it was installed by Sears, Lowe's, etc. Call them and have them come adjust it. They were supposed to do it before they left your place.
