Internet is used for lots more than sitting in your underwear looking at china its used to buy and sell give information etc. For the guys like witchdoctor there are zillions of sex sites for him to visit as he certainly has no interest in education etc

Limiting E mails to 20 a day would not be good for normal business financial institutions will send loads of e mails some they believe important to people within their own organisations. I did like point one "no hiding"

The internet can be both good and bad.. It just depends on how you, and others use it... What would you want to be safe about it.. Doesn't get much safer.. how many other ways can you look at a live webcam of china while you sit in your underwear..

The internet will always exist. The exchange of information between companies, schools, government, and single people is too valuable a resource. The internet itself is just a mass network, there is no true way to make the entire thing safer. You can do what you can at your end to filter the content that comes to your computer, protect yourself from viruses, adware, spyware, etc. To secure the entire internet is near impossible, and I doubt anyone would take the time or money to do that. The only true way that the internet can be improved it to make transfers faster, aka fiber optics. Though it would be a massive work force to change all the cables from what we have now to fiber optics to inprove tranfer rates.

The Internet is now here to stay and it is a very good
thing. However, as with most things, people easily get
used to being in control and yearn to control others.
Greedy people enter the scene and services become
clogged with advertisements and mailings which seek to
generate revenue by bombarding the entire system with
what used to be called hand bills - now disguised as EMail.
So, if you really want to improve the Internet, the following
changes should be made:
1.) Actual Sender Identification must be posted on all EMail.
Actual = Full Name, Street Address, City, State + Zip, Country
(Verified Information). (Goal = Eliminate power to hide behind
keyboard and conduct malicious activities without being seen)
2.) No EMail Sender should be allowed to post more than 20
EMails per day. (Goal= Reduce/Eliminate Spam).
2a.) If the limit of 20 per day is unrealistic, let's begin charging
20 cents (U.S.) per EMail. (Goal = Reduce/Eliminate Spam).
3.) Revert back to text only EMails, Then a new category of
EMail e/w Pics, Then another new category of EMail e/w video or sound. Text only Emails would only carry alpha and numeric chartacters, no computer symbols to close the door on virus
equipped EMail transmission - make this more difficult.

The internet is on the whole a good thing.
But would be much better without idiots like Witchdoctor (A.K.A nameless, and is also probably several other of the site spammers), who never answers questions, just insults the asker.

Want to make it safer?
Be smarter, education.

Kind of hard trying to trace your IP and find your address thru the IP. Now I could and can find your computer depending on the type of IP you have. But not to worry, nobody is going to go to the trouble and time involved to find your pc....... and still not find it!
