is anyone else already excited about Christmas? My whole family is already listening to some Christmas music. I guess its because we lost a family member about a year ago. She was my cousin Anna Menkel, 17 years old. She was killed in a car accident. But she was like a sister to me. And this is our second Christmas without her. But yeah, anyone else doing what we are?

Christmas is fun and I think that everyone thinks it because they skip commericals about thanksgiving and go to Christmas and they already play christmas muisc on the radio like what you listen to. I am ready for Christmas!!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin, but I think it's great that you're making the best of a bad time by kicking off the holidays a little early. I absolutely love Christmas!! I'm getting really excited because here in Denver we have a radio station that switches to nothing but Christmas music the day after Thanksgiving, so I'm gearing up for that! I already bought little Christmas decorations for my home and office, like I got this adorable little Christmas tree made out of silver wire that I'm going to keep on my desk at work. As if that wasn't enough Christmas cheer, I took a part-time job as a Santa's helper down at the mall, and I get to be the one who takes pictures of the little kids on Santa's lap!! I'm glad to see someone who shares my enthusiasm for the holidays. We need a little Christmas!!!

Very sorry about your cousin - always sad to hear about a loss of young life. For me will be second Christmas without my cheating husband. I have to make my best for my 13 year old daughter. She is playing the Christmas carols on the piano & making endless requests for christmas presents. I want to buy bigger Christmas tree this year & get few new decorations as well. Soon we have to send the greetings cards - exiting time!

I don't celebrate, but most of my family does and half the time manage to get me involved. But no one is doing anything like that yet. We are having a rough year. We lost a family member to suicide in Sept. and another to a heart attack in Nov. and another was just sentenced to jail until after Christmas (if not longer). And Nov. is the one year anniversary of my friend's suicide.
Just not a great time of year for my family this year or last. Next year has got to be better!

Well i am very sorry to hear about that. I have lost someone very dear to me the past year and i will be going through this christmas without him. My family already has our tree up and decorated. We usually put up the tree and decorate on christmas eve, but this year on christmas eve we are having a party to remember him. So i hope your christmas is wonderful!

yea around here the tree goes up the day after thanksgiving. i was singing Christmas songs this morning for some reason. its like the Christmas spirit is already in the air. lol.

I HEARD CHRISTMAS MUSIC THE OTHER DAY. IT ALWAYS MAKES ME FEEL GOOD. SORRY ABOUT YOUR COUSIN, I ALSO LOST A SON AGE 17 IN A CAR ACCIDENT. IT MAKES YOU VALUE YOUR FAMILY AND FRIEND TIME MORE.

Yes! I had a difficult year, too. And Christmas is just such a nice, innocent, happy time to make you forget all the bad stuff :)
