An adjective is a word that describes a noun. An adverb is...yup! A word that describes a verb. Some examples of adjectives are: purple, yellow, smelly, big, small, wet, dry, thin, round, smart, pretty, ugly, old, young etc. Some examples of adverbs are: quickly, fast, slowly, beautifully, disgustingly, badly, weakly, strongly, terribly etc (usually end in -ly).

Adverb = Describes a verb, another adverb, or an adjective. Usually ends in -ly
Ex: Finally, soon, slowly, not, never, too
