If the water was running he probably floated down into the main sewer pipe by now. Sewer watrers don't usually have enough oxygen to support life. He is as they say "swimming with the fishes."

It actually is possible that it is still alive. All drains lead to the ocean they say. Trouble is, if it's a pet shop fish even if it did make it out to the big blue, it may be eaten quite quickly. But if I were you i would hope and pray for your fish, or alternatively flush yourself down after it.

Im sorry...I think there is no chance to recover the fish...the plumbing system is really hard to figure out, and as we all know.. they end up in the sewer.. anyways, im sure you'll be ok. I had the same experience when I was 15. I flushed my little turtle down the drain.. by accident.
You'll be ok...just give it time :)

Hard to believe you were accidently walking by the toilet with your fish and it fell in. Then you accidently pushed down on the flush handle. No, the fish is now dead, much like your brain.

Nope your fish is now deceased. It would be in sewer water and the sewage disposal system and he would be dead in lots of muck and sewage. Poor Fish! Terrible way to go.

I'm sorry, no. The chemicals and all - even if it could make it for a little while, sewerage treatment is not fish friendly.
