I believe that I conceived on the 28th of October. I am having a ton of prego signs. My period is not for another two weeks, how accurate would a preg test at this point? If the hormones are there enough for me to feel pregnant, shouldn't there be enough for a test?

Most home pregnancy tests will not show a result until the day you expect your next period to show up. There are a few (more expensive) that might give a result as early as 5 days before that. The tests will only register when a certain amount of the hormone is present in the urine, which is why it takes some women longer to find out if they're not producing enough hormones.

How long are your cycles? If you conceived on the 28th your period should have been two weeks after that, in which case you should have missed it by now, but that's only for a normal 28 day cycle. You can test up to 5 days before you miss your period, but DO NOT USE first response, they suck! Use Answer, it's made by the same company but cheaper and more accurate. Good luck to you!

The earliest a HPT would be accurate is 5 days BEFORE your missed period. A blood test may be accurate now. Consult your doctor!

Not at all-they say the earliest that you can test is 4 days before your missed period. If you test any sooner it will give you a false reading.
