I'm not able to get a history book of Wales at this time and from everything I've read online about the history of early medieval Wales, nothing suggests that they were there. It mentions that nobles fought for the king in time of need. Unlike England where knights were given land in payment for serving their lords (not necessarily kings) to fight.

There is some evidence that King Arthur's royal palace may have been in Wales, actually. Check this site; there's a lot of information here

yes there were but not as well known as others.
