See when other females in your family started their menses, this will give you a clue when you would probably start yours.
Boys and girls now experience puberty at younger ages than previous generations. In general, girls enter puberty between ages 8 and 13 and reach menarche (first menstruation) several years later, while boys enter puberty between ages 9 and 14. The reasons for earlier menarche in girls are not well understood.

i was 14, im 21 now and i wish i didnt have it anymore. lol. when i was 14, i was the last one from all my friends to get it, i kinda felt left out because they were talking about tampons and pads and midal and all that crap and i wasnt in the conversation. now i look back and i thank GOD that i got it later. i thank god! it sucks and i have to say its one of the worst parts of being a girl! be happy you dont have it. you will get it really soon. a had a friend who got hers when she was 9 another girl in my school got hers when she was 16. so no worries. if you are 18 and still dont have it, go see your doc. but dont wish for hell honey.

I was 12. I wish I would of started later in life. I had a friend who didn't start till she was 17. Lucky her. Relax it will come when it comes. It is not a great thing. Best wishes.

I was in 7th grade... making me 12ish. During the IOWA test and had nothing with me. I would start putting a pad in your bag just in case. Getting caught without is no fun.

I was 13....I am 21 now. It was the worst. I had to go home early the day my period started every month because the cramping pains were UNBEARABLE.

I was 9 years old when I got my first period. Be patient it will happen. Every woman's body is different.

10 im 11 now dont worry my friends mom didnt get it till she waz 16
