The following Disney movies had moms...

Freaky Friday
Dumbo
The Parent Trap
The Fox and the Hound
Sleeping Beauty
Toy Story
The Emperor's New Groove
Bambi (I know she died, but there was a mom)
Old Yeller
Peter Pan
Lady and the Tramp
101 Dalmations
Mary Poppins
The Lion King
The Incredibles (released by Disney)
The Little Mermaid 2

I'm sure there are more

I never noticed the coincidence before but that is pretty odd. There is a mother in Toy Story 1 & 2 but no father that I can remember. There's also a mother in Dumbo and The Incredibles.

movies that are referrenced were stories written that way before Disney decided to turn them into movies. so can't really pin the blame on them for that. movies that can be credited to Disney, such as mulan, do have moms in them.

if you'll notice, most of the momless movies that are referrenced were stories written that way before Disney decided to turn them into movies. so can't really pin the blame on them for that. movies that can be credited to Disney, such as mulan, do have moms in them.

there's a mom in lion king II...Nala (the childhood friend of simba in lion king..became his wife)...she wasn't shown a lot though...oh and the mom of kovu too....

i think the moms aren't concentrated in disney because the stories are mostly about how children should grow up like, what they should believe in...disney is directed at kids not at moms.

Sleeping Beauty's mom is in the movie. Simba's also.

Actually there's no Dad in Bambi. No Dad in Toy Story. No Dad in Monster's Inc.
