My half-brother has just turned 18 and stolen $2000 from my mother and is on drugs. My mom and half-brother claim until he is out of school that he is still my mother's responsability. They claim the cop told them this. Is this something the 18 year old madeup???

once he's 18, he's legally an adult.

the only thing that can be covered under your mother, if he's over 18, is medical insurance, if he's 100% in college, and needs to be covered medically, and still living at home.
