My boyfriend of 5 months has a problem with me having male friends. He thinks that females dont have guys as friends. I have a friend who is in jail but I knew him long before he got locked up. I've known this guy for about 3 or 4 years. He was my sisters boyfriend before he got loccked up but he like my best friend. So when he got locked up I started writing him. He been in for almost two years and I'm still writing him. My boyfriend found one of the letters and was like what the f*ck is this. I explained to him that it was an old friend but he aint wanna hear that and told me to stop writing him. So I stoped for a minute but considering thats like the only person I have to really talk to other than my boyfriend it was hard not talking to him so I went to see. Was I wrong? I let my boyfriend know I was going to see him and he got so mad that he would not even talk to me for like a week. Is it right for me to cut off all my male friend to please him? What to do!?!

I believer your boyfriend is very protective of you since you have male friends and he probably might be thinking the wrong this and when you first met your boyfriend you could of told him about your friend whom got locked up. all my female friends are over protective of me.and no you dont' have to cutt ott all your male friends but you can tell them about how your boyfriend feel's.

Men who dont think women can have platonic male friends are men who cant have platonic female friends. My best friend is a guy and I'm getting married soon. My fiance totally flipped when I told him about him but I let him know, we were friends before him and will remain friends whether he stays or goes so pick your choice. He picked. Turns out he was a ho back in the day before he realised he wanted a family and someone to lean on for life.

he sounds insecure. also sounds like he has trust issues. i bet he has female friends. he needs to get over it. secure men dont act this way. no do not do that, dont drop your friends for a guy, they will be there long after he is gone.
