I've been posting a lot in the Religion and Spirituality section, but all I ever see is hate for people. I personally know a few gay people and they're nice, sweet and funny. I know that's a stereotype, but I'm pretty sure you guys are better than most relgious nuts! So...because, I'm interested, and it's a happy question... what's the best compliment you've had?

Old lady once said I was "bright as a circus chimp"

I didn't dwell on whether she meant as compliment or not, just made me smile.

Sadly only in my dreams do I ever get complements from sexy attractive men,but today this very day in the real world I was getting some stamps at the post office and another customer came in. Her little girl pointed at my handbag saying shiny so I guess that was a complement to my style.

I was at work and this cute, cute girl I'd never seen before completely catches me off my guard and tells me I have beautiful eyes. That's my favorite kind of complement, the one that's utterly spontaneous and simple and sweet. And from a lovely lady.

One night this girl and I were having a conversation about life in general. religous beliefs, outlook on life, life experiences, etc. I told her that up to this point my purpose in life is to live life the best way I know how and to hopefully affect someones life in a positive way. She told that I affected her life! That blew me away. For her to acknowledge it was the best compliment I ever got.

I have a few friends who say they would love to have my outlook on life and my inability to retain anger. That touched me deeper than they will ever understand. It made me feel like my life had a purpose beyond what I even realized.

I have two moments...

When my boyfriend's grandmother said I was the best thing that ever happened to him. (I'm bi and currently dating a guy)

My father told me that even though lately things in my life have been crazy and not so stable, he was proud of me for the person I became.

That I'm "real". I tell people what I think. I try not to hurt anyone, but if they want to know me I'll let them. That's one way you find out who your friends are.

The one that made me happiest that I can remember recently, was the first time someone called me 'Cutie' on here. It made my day!
