I really like the OFB expansion pack. It's a lot of fun to make Sims that are entrepreneurs and have other Sims visit the businesses. There are over 100 new items that come with this pack. Plus, you can teach your Sims all kinds of new skills and when it comes to businesses, your Sim can hire, promote, and fire employees.
You can make businesses like salons, bakeries, car lots, flower shops, electronic stores, clothing stores, toy stores and so much more. You can pretty much sell anything that you can buy for your Sims.
You can buy a community lot and have the business there or even open up a home business. Just be aware that with a home business the patrons will wander through your house and use your stuff when the business is open.
You should take a look at the OFP section of the forum on the official site. You'll find lots of answers for questions people have asked about OFB and that will help you decide if you really want the expansion pack or not.
