i heard of this process where you send one dollar to six addresses, ask to be on their mailing list and you get over $800,000. Theres a big long thing on what exactly to do and how it works, but i still dont get it. Has anyone tried it? did it work?

It's called a pyramid scheme and the one you describe is a violation of US law. No, it doesn't work.

The old saying is that if it is too good to be true then it probably is. What you described is called a pyramid scheme and it is very illegal. I would strongly advise you to not follow the directions and throw it in the trash.
