even though Utah is leading in the standing, I'd still say the spurs are the best team. just wait come playoff time and you'll see what I'm talking about...

I think the Sacramento Kings has a great shot as being one of the best teams in the NBA this year. They are a completely different and more motivated this year with the new coch Eric Musselman then the team were last year. I for one wish the Kings good luck.

I'd imagine in the quarter finals, we would see:

Eastern: Miami, Chicago, Detroit, and Cleveland
Western: San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, and Phoenix

I don't know if there is such as thing as "best in the league" when it comes to teams since even the top seeded teams can be defeated by teams with a much worser record (i.e. 1996 Chicago Bulls with 72 wins defeated by Toronto Raptors, an expansion team). It would depend on the matchup and who's hot.

Aren't the Jazz currently with the best record, of like 5 and 1, or 6 and 1?

If you were to base this question on the teams who are tied for first place in the NBA (Hawks, Spurs, and Jazz), the Spurs are by far the best team based on their success, yearly consistency, and being able to keep the core players of their championship team together (Duncan, Parker, Ginobili, and Horry).

Hope this helps.

JAZZ have the best record but the team that looks best together would have to be the CAVS, or the JAZZ. but personally i say CAVS even though i live in UTAH and watch the JAZZ, the CAVS play more fluently
