if you're using cordless, start with 10. test it and adjust from there. I find 10 on my 9.6 volt and 9 on my 18 volt do fine on drywall.

1. if you are going to use a drill get a screw tip with a stopper on it so the screws dont go to deep.
2. dont use a drill. go to home depot and buy a dewalt screw gun. the cheapest one is 79.00.
3. hire a pro. it wont cost too much too hang a few sheets and the cuts come out a lot nicer than doing it yourself. especially if the room isn't straight which in old houses it is usually the case.

it dosent really matter for drywall its soft as is the studs you hang it on but i would reccommend that you have a drill with a clutch so you can set it to stop before it goes past the paper

as fast as you want, just set the screws in about 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch so you can mudd over them.
