He grabbed some players chin to make eye contact and to keep the kid focused (and to prevent that body posture that screams "defeat" on the playing field). What parent hasn't done that before?

He sort of slapped his players chin up so he would look at him and pay attention. It wasn't even hard and if you watch sports alot of coaches do the same kind of thing to get the players to pay attention. The only reason this is a big deal is because it is Bob Knight and because of that the media is having a frenzy, it is ridiculous! I hope that answers your question.

Yeah, why might absolutely everyone prefer to play for a coach like Bobby Knight? He would not enable you to do each little thing you prefer, keeps a strict participant gown code and makes you decrease your hair, makes you actual pass to classification (purely 2 non grads in all those a protracted time of training), and the worst is he tells it love that's and hurts your emotions. Oh yeah, and don't overlook he continuously follows the guidelines (no longer one NCAA infraction on his record). certainly why might absolutely everyone prefer to play for him? i might particularly have somebody who needs to pay me, even although i'm getting unfastened training. people do no longer comprehend how perplexing that's to play basketball and then classification, that's in comparison to the different pupils have it any harder suited? would not everybody get college for unfastened? additionally i might particularly be waiting to pass out and party each night without some coach finding over my shoulder, and then in the morning whilst my hangovers kicking be waiting to pass the BS instructions, all of us understand i'm there to play ball. in reality i might prefer to stay an adolescent continuously without repercussion, this entire being a guy component and discovering duty/duty is over-rated. playstation , you're saying "yet whilst somebody dealt with me an identical way Bobby Knight treats his gamers, i might heavily be tempted to break him!" you would be perplexing pressed to locate one in all his gamers that should assert ONE undesirable component approximately Bobby Knight, they love him virtually as a father. and characteristic you actual considered Bobby Knight? i do no longer think of you ought to break him.

He pulled on the chin of one of his player in a hard way. It seems as if he wanted the player to look in the eyes.
