It`s obvious that they have increased suffering in Iraq, but these days it`s hard to measure what evilness is worse, sudden killing or torturing chambers they found from there. Then again, England and America has tortured people too in Quantanama and who knows where, so: The outcome is that they eased no-ones pain at all.
I find it unbeleavable that the peoples like Bush and Blair get to be in their position in a countries who`s people dont want to go to a war in a first place.

I see the conflict through wide open eyes..
You cannot say that Bush and Blair are evil! - .Misguided and foolish maybe!... evil never!..
If you would like examples of Real evil leaders who killed maimed and abused various ethnic peoples. try looking these guys up!..
Genghis khan
Attila the Hun
Vlad the impaler
Saladin
Joe Stalin
Adolf Hitler
Poll pot
Saddam Hussein.
There are many more examples of evil men, even in modern history in places like Bosnia Rhouander/ Sudan/ where ethnic cleansing has resulted in millions been killed, . I don't think Bush and Blair compare in any measure to those listed.
The Iraq war is sad because its all so unnecessary. The initial phase of the war went extremely well, and it can be said that the allies won the war and lost the peace.
Today's problems are really down to bad planning by the allies for handling the peace.
They simply didn't pay enough attention to the what happens next question.. In reality its the various factions who are fighting each other which is causing the deaths of so many, these factions have always been there within the Iraqi society , but where held in check by Saddam's murderous security forces.
The invasion and toppling of Saddam's power simply let the cat out the bag and the factions are fighting and killing without regard for human values..
Its sad I know but that what you get when religion and politics get mixed up!..

As much as I disagree with their policies, I don't think a President or Prime Minister can afford to think 'on a personal level' about soldiers they send to war, or the innocent bystanders and children killed.....it would drive them both mad.
I also don't think they unleashed "unbridled evil" when they declared war on Iraq. I simply think that they were entirely mistaken in thinking their actions could help, and, like most of the public, felt that declaring war on Iraq would only make matters worse, cause more deaths, etc.
I too am ashamed of what is happening, and also feel that there is nothing I can do about it. Portest marches, yes, I shall always join them, as I feel that years of ever-growing protest marches helped end USA's presence in Vietnam.
Meanwhile, I feel this war is profiting only the warmongers like Haliburton, companies who have government contracts to supply medical supplies and bodybags and armaments and profit from the "the spoils of war". It is these people who are truly evil, and I know their riches will do them no good.
Eventually, the troops will be withdrawn. That is my only consolation.

I think they both have egos that are so big it wouldn't matter to them how much havoc the caused. The war on Iraq was war mongering on a grand scale, not to mention the issue of USA trying to grab all the resources from the world so that they can pollute it first before China! I think they believed that it would be over in no time and they would me carried shoulder high by the Iraqies and thier respective voters. Soap box? What soap box? LOL

As much as I dislike B-Liar, I do believe, in private moments, he reflects on Iraq and knows deep down that his actions were wrong. I do not believe it is the same with Bush.
The whole Iraq issue is a disgrace, and will be debated for many decades to come. You cannot force a democracy, especially when it is led by a highly questionable invasion based on grounds that have ultimately proved to be false.

I agree with you. It especially makes me sick that Bush claims Jesus as his spiritual guide in this horrible occupation. I am not a Christian myself, but I have read the Gospels and believe on that basis that Jesus would feel sick about this too. His message was one of resistance to the empire, which is what the US is becoming.

If they are good men then if they feel they unleashed evil they will feel bad about it.
If they are good men and feel as though they have done good then the question is biased.
If they are good men, and I believe they are, then they believed that what they did was justified...but the ends do not always justify the means...and the means, were justifiably evil in its manifestation.
Which leaves us with another question, are they good men?

Both Bush and Blair are completely irresponsible idiots. They spend huge amounts of tax payers' money, send people to their deaths and make the whole world more dangerous. And they get paid for it.

You have the option of accepting what is taking place or accept what the terrorists have in mind as their ultimate goal.. that being; you and all infidels converting to Islam or electing to die. Their goal is to have Islam as the world's religion... if you can accept that, then perhaps your indignation toward the worlds leaders is well placed.
