if you had 2 liquids & are told that 1 is a compound and 1 is a mixture.....?

what's one way you could determine which one is which?

Let them set out in the sun and see if either leaves a residue. If a residue is left, then it is a mixture. Something like salt would be left as a residue.

let them sit for a long period of time, the mixture will eventually separate into its components.
