Want to know if those mirrors in the hotel room or changing room at the department store are two-way mirrors? This means someone is watching you through it!
if you put your fingertip up to the mirror & there is a space between your finger & the reflection, it's a real (regular) mirror. If there is a space between, it's a two-way mirror & someone is probably watching you!
Anyone else heard this?

heard this few months ago and tried it at home and few places...so far i am lucky. you need to rephrase it if there is a space means its real, if there isn't, get out.

Interesting. Never heard of that test.

How much of a space are you supposed to have? I just tested that with regular mirrors (compacts and medicine cabinet, etc) and there is no space like you're talking about but there's nothing they would be attached to for someone to be using them as a twoway mirror.

Guess what? Your finger test is not the safest way to prove if a mirror is for real or not. HA! HA! You see, the real mirrors reflective cover is in the BACK of the glass (it's made of silver nitrate). The "fake" mirror is made by applying a polarized film whether in front or the BACK of the glass. If the second applies, then your finger test will, miserably, fail.
And...oh yeah! welcome to ParanoidWorld....mwahahaha!

actually...have u ever seen a 2way mirror? they are VERY obvious..most of them look a bit discolored...and the ones that arent the reflections are a bit different from a regular mirror...but u have to look very closely to notice....but trust me...there should not be a 2way mirror in dressing rooms or hotel rooms unless clearly stated...otherwise...it is illegal.....

ewww, don't put that thought in my head. I hate having to change in front of a regular mirror. I'd hate to know that someone could be peeping in on me.

I keep trying to tell myself that the mirrors in my house are not real mirrors but were replaced by funhouse mirrors when I wasn't home!

very slowly and carefully, can we all say PARANOID?

Like you have something no one else has and just has to see, frankly, who would give a hoot.
