I've taken Physical Geology, Environmental Geology, and Historical Geology at my local community college. Having run out of geology courses the dean said I can do an independent study next term. I am going on to a four year college to complete a bachelors and masters in geology, but not until next fall. What are some interesting concepts to study for this independent study?

Have you taken Mineralogy? That is the foundation for all future courses. At my university Independent Study classes, and Environmental Geology classes, are Senior Level classes that cannot be taken at the CC level.
