I installed new double glazing units 5 months ago. A huge crack has developed from one end to the other of a unit for no apparent reason. There has been no impact to the window and it only affects the inside glass. Could it be because the pane of glass was too big and left no expansion space and has cracked now that the central heating is on full blast??

PROBABLY INSTALLED WHERE IT WAS IN A BIND & JUST A LITTLE HEAT & /OR A SHIFT ... & .... POP GOES THE WINDOW!
HAPPENED TO MY BROTHER ON A BIG ONE IN HIS DEN.
IF YOU LOOK AT NEW HOMES & CATCH A GLARE FROM THE SUN, YOU CAN SEE WHERE THE NAILS HAVE PUT PRESSURE ON THE NAILING FIN, & IN TURN THE WINDOW. TOO MUCH PRESSURE & IT CRACKS!
